I took a half day off work today so I could get some dirt fishing in at a new permission. 5.4 acres and the house was built in the 1820's. No one was home when I went there, so I hit a couple other public sites and tried to hunt a field permission to kill some time. The field was way too wet and the corn stalks from last year are about 18 inches tall. I didn't stay there too long, only pulled 1 target from the field. The valve in the pic of all finds.

After dinner I went to the permission and they were home. I only detected for about 2 hours. I pulled some goodies and eked out my 2nd ever Barber dime. :headbang: Both are 1902, go figure.

The Brambles on this property make the site we hunted in the mountains of PA look like a manicured lawn.

Both pieces of bling are junk, but always make my heart race when I see one in the hole.

All the digs from the main permission are on the left in the pic below.

Gotta love the Barber. I rarely find any. Way to go

Hello LD. Nice digs, the Barber looks in good shape does it have a mint mark? I think the round lens like thing is part of a moto meter. Good Luck this week end, you gotta go back. C9

If our site in PA looked like a manicured lawn brother, I'd hate to see what that site looked like! Congrats on the Barber.

We hope to see you East again soon. We miss LOCO!

Cheers bud

Congrats on that Barber; good-looking coin. Just can't beat 'silver-in-the-hole'!

Excellent work Loco!!

Barber is such a great era. Congrats.

Good work finding time to hunt in the evenings. I have to usually use a day-off for detecting.... My evenings are filled with a pregnant wife and a 1 and a half year old[emoji12]
