Hi all, i headed up to the Derwent Gully about 6pm. waited for the ground temp to drop .Gpx 4500 get a bit chatty when the ground gets too warm that not Hot rocks. this md don,t pick up hot rocks.
All started well then my md got a little noisy and then became louder. Had a look around and spotted another hunter about 30 yards away in the trees. Yes he was to close too me and so i turned off the md and had a friendly talk for a few minutes.Nice fellow and he had some grand stories too tell. :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7:. I explained i would be moving about 50 yards back to the left so i would be free from his md. Started ok but he seemed too start to come too close again.

so i turned off md and went home. Really some people in our hobbiy care little for others and have much to learn. Its easy too walk away from these types as fighting and bad manners reflexs all of us.
"Walk away and don,t be tared with the same brush".

Well even with the extra noise i still managed a nice button and a piece of gold half a gram and miner chisel. Not to bad for 2 hours and learnt to stay away from this hunter.

Nice little find :icon_thumright: The hand mesh looks fresh, a little owee?
What's with the other guy, lonely or just a bad case of needing to know if your digging up some big rocks.
With 4500 do need a lot of room around other machines?

hi pepper , need about 40 yards between mds and the mesh is from a sharp blade slip at work, justa nice half inch hole in my palm. The other hunter was asked nicely and i gave up the ground i was working so no more chances for him. Good bye and care little for what ever as far he is concerned.

tinpan PS both of us where using p1 units with mono coils and not sure how other vlf and double d coils react yet. Never run into many hunters where i go.

you wouldn't like the 400 strong UK Rallies then :D

It can never be a bad day when you find Gold :icon_sunny: :icon_thumleft:

You are right. It is easier to walk away than have a confrontation. Nice button.

I only mentioned the famous ones in Wales. There have been sites discovered in England as well.

Talk about rippin up the Forrest. :-\

hi h4 this not a forrest , the land is a gold rush with regrowth and is classed as reserve .The law is clearly stated on my "miners right" i can dig to a dept of 1.5 metres or bit over 5 feet. Must fill my holes which i do.The ground here is some of the hardest in the world and digging straight down breaks picks and other digging tools . Digging in at angle from the side is the only way.You may have too do this a couple of times to get to depth of target. How big is the hole in your post at indian site ?
