On Thrusday one of my branches usually has dimes for me. This branch saves their coins and rolls them for the other branches. You can see those results in the topic I posted yesterday...found 6 silvers including my 4th Merc in 49 silvers found.
The other branches of my credit union, however, sell their coin to Wells Fargo with a 2% fee. I usually call one of those other branches on Friday and ask what they have and buy them, save them the 2% fee, and dump at Wells Fargo on Saturday when I'm done with them. (Ha Ha, WF missing their 2% fee on this one)
I think I may have bit off more than I can chew today...they said they had 4 bags of Quarters and 1 bag of dimes. Since they didn't have dimes last week and they usually average 2 silvers per $250 I jumped on those...then said "and I'll take all the quarters too, you only live once, right?" Yeah...that's $2000 in quarters. Last week, I got $1000 from this counter and found a 1964D Silver, and a 2001 North Carolina S-mint impared Proof that I sent to my grandma, so I'm hoping for simmilar returns like last week. Once I go through them this afternoon I'll give you guys an update! I've got my #1 Dime i my wallet (first merc I found, 1945) for luck, but I'll take all you guys can give me.
Update:
Welp, not good.
$2000 in coin counter quarters
Skunk!
This bumps the quarters average down to 2 silver quarters out of 10 boxes, or 0.25 per $500 box
$500 in Coin Counter dimes
1964-D Rosie
Brings my running average down to 49 silver dimes out of 31.4452 boxes for a running average of 1.55 per $250 box
