Anyone know the frequency of the Freedom Ace Series?

I believe there were two different frequencies that the Freedom Ace series were
built with. The first year or two they were built with the older 5.5 kHz "DeepSeeker"
coils. After that the newer Freedom Ace 'Plus' series were built using 6.5 kHz coils.
I was told by several people that because the Freedom Ace 'Plus' series use the
same 6.5 kHz frequency that the new Ace 250/150 use, that you can buy one of
these new coils and simply 'rewire' the connector to use on a Freedom Ace 'Plus'.
