I went for a wet and chilly hunt this afternoon at a new spot and I had my BEST hunt ever!

I found FOUR silvers: a 1943 Mercury dime, two silver Washington quarters (1941 & 1943 - in the same hole!), and a sterling miraculous medal.

Most amazing of all, I dug a midtone signal and out popped a HUGE gold ring - the first one I've found! It's marked with an "18" on the inside, it's heavy, and it looks solid.

I ran out of daylight after I found the quarters, or else I'd still be there. I'm still pinching myself - I can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Thanks for looking - HH!

That is a memorable hunt for sure, great finds!

What a day! That place is going to fill your dreams and keep pulling you back for a while.

Now thats what we're talking about schweet diggs

All of your friends here are happy for you, and proud of you as well...Congrats on a great hunt, good luck tomorrow!

Great finds and, wowzers! Is that a ring for some long lost tribe for giants? It's huge. I want to thank you, also. I have found that exact same pendant during the summer and wrote it off as some kind of junk metal but after seeing yours, i dug it out and looked on the back. Low and behold, it is stamped, sterling. It's like finding it twice...haha. Nice hunt, buddy.:occasion14:

A couple people asked how much the ring weighs: I got out my scale, and it weighs in at 11.6 grams.

Yeah, I found another one of those miraculous medals last year, and it was just cheap metal - that one came out of the ground dark and tarnished, and it wasn't marked.

This one was bright and shiny right out the ground, and it's marked "Sterling" on the back - much nicer.

Congrats on yours - unexpected silver is always good!

That is one chunk of a gold ring! Silvers are nice too! Congrats! You had a very good day!

Fabulous hunt there, all silvers over dime sized hides out, out here, when my detector goes to work lol ! And that ring is a really sweet find, looks real to me, hope it is !!
