the bureau of standards is a government agency that regulates the standards for the way things are measured and used. The US is not the only government that has one, but the peoples outfitting company, which is now gone, was from detroit and I can find info on one in toledo, ohio back to the 1920's. Although I'm sure that token isn't that old it is very interesting. I can't find this token, but I can find others and they are mainly for purchasing. www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=6616874
