its Italian based-- The Medici's started in 1465 --from the house of "Medici"== likely from the "off shoot" family that were legally allowed to use the coat of arms known as the MARQUISES OF CASTELLINA --0TTAJANO (KINGDOM OF NAPLES) & DUKE OF THE CITY OF SARNO --the six balls -- thus the "stemma dia" (stemming FROM THE POWER TO COMMAND -MEDICI -- .THUS THEY WERE ALLOWED TO MAKE MONEY BASED ON PERMISSION GIVEN FROM THE MEDICI

oddly the word "frieze' is a term used for "decrotive" --so it might be a modern coy maybe

( Firenze ) as in Italian for Florence , Italy would make perfect sense ...--taking that into account -- looks like a very nice item --now tell us the how and roughly where of you getting it if you would -- we might be able to tell you even more if you do...
