Last night i was using a Equinox 800 in the Beach 1 and Beach 2 modes then i tried using the prospecting modes and could not get a good hit on it. This 10 year old girl lost a silver bracelet her grandma gave her. Her mother had the exact same bracelet that i was trying to get a signal result off of. The nox was hard to hit the bracelet. I Spent 2 hours last night trying to find it in 4 to 5 feet of water with no luck. The mother let me take her bracelet home and i trying other machines on it. The simplex had NO PROBLEM hitting the bracelet. So today i took the simplex out with water proof head phones and BAM first DIG in the SAME area out pops this. They wanted to pay me but I declined and told them if they want to pay donate the money to the St Jude's Children Hospital

Honorable mention is in order. if not for the bracelet recovery then for the gift to the children of saint jude.

Excellent job and I agree with honerable mention and St Jude's.

Good job finding the Bracelet Gary !

Did you fly down South to hunt the Civil War site that you told me about ?

Kudos to you for finding and reuniting that young girl with her bracelet! On another note, your comment on the Nox 800 versus the Simplex is the third time someone has mentioned something like that to me...

No to hot and been working on a plane to sell

Cool, your finding the girl's bracelet for her! Thanks for that and for sharing with us!

Great Job!!!:hello2:

Very Nice!!! Good Job!!! Congrats!!!

Great job, congrats! :notworthy:

Great Job Gare!

Great job on switching machines and getting the recovery and return-congrats.
Wonder why the 800 had problems picking it up?

I love hearing stories like this, it proves that MD ad TH's are quality people. Also St Jude's is my favorite Charity.

Nice job Gare, and Honorable mention from me also. And thanks also, for having them donate the money to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. That is an excellent organization to donate to.

Oh good gracious! Makes me want to "stable" my EQ800 and use my Tejon exclusively. You're the man, Man!!! Good deal :)

Strange that the Nox wouldn't give a good signal. Were you using all metal?

I could get a signal some times on the Bracelet i had in hand. But noting repeatable. I tried beach 1, beach 2 Prospecting metal. I tried the all metal mode even. later i was told to try park 1 and park 2 but have not tried that .

Nicely done...that 8 year old little girl has her grandmother's gift back.

She will remember a kindness by a man with a strange machine, and it will stick with her the rest of her life. There are a few things we can do in our lifetime that will resonate. Yours is one.

BTW, the strange machine is a Simplex...it can do weird things that the Nox can't do as well...like find Civil War artifacts in Texas soil...I gave my best friend one for his birthday, and he completely schooled me right out of the box.
