My buddy and I went out last night and re buried it. IN THE SAME HOLE. Just a foot deeper. Hopefully no one will find it again...I Should be Good to go. But........ If I hear scratching at my bedroom door at odd hours of the night, I know who to blame!!

Years ago, I found the remains of a metal peach bucket buried in the woods behind this c1870 one-room school.
When I partially pulled it from the ground I noticed it had bones and burnt ashes in it.
Then I saw a small thigh bone and what looked to be a leg bone.

Of course I started to freak out thinking I'd just found the bones of a child that had secretly been buried in the woods.
I called the cops and they took the bones for examination to a local hospital... turns out they were pig bones.
I now understand that pig bones closely resemble human bones.

Good job on returning the jar of 'whatever it contained' to where you found it Ryan.

Sprinkle the hole with pull tabs and can slaw to deter future detectorists, after pull tab number 2, I would move on
