I've hunted that park with my Garrett at pro for well over a 100 hours. First day I bring my new Eqionox 800 I find that and a 1937 Mercury. This machine is insane.

Have had the Eqinox for a week. I've found 18 wheatbacks, 1 Indian head, and 5 silvers . 1 Silver was a Franc from 1918.. This machine makes the At Pro look like a Toy!!

No worries. You are doing the right thing in returning the urn to it's rightful spot. You didn't know what it was, honest mistake.

I hunted a local beach and found an old jar in about waist deep water, popped the lid and it had chicken bones and an oily muck, with a picture and letter inside. It stank and I was in the water when I opened it, so it spilled into the water and onto me. Figured it was bad mojo, so I put the lid back on and put it back where I found it too, lol...

urns come in many sizes. It could be for a pet, child or it could even be a Companion urn so there ashes could be separated and go to different spots and even different family members. By the looks of it I would say it is an expensive one maybe in the hundreds of dollars range .
Do not sell your At short that may have been placed in that spot after you had gone over that area . It does not look like it has been in the ground very long. Is there any writings or numbers on it ?

Dont feel bad dude. We all would have done the same. Bury it where you found, say a quick little prayer, and all will be right.

I found a bent up tag on a beach in Hawaii once.
I always keep all the trash I pickup.
When I was cleaning my finds after I got home to the main land I saw it had writing on it.
It was a crematory tag!
I packed it up and shipped to a Firehouse close to the beach and asked them to return it to the sea.
Sometimes we bring home things that need to be returned...
