Did you clean the rust off of that or something? It's very difficult to say if thats a meteorite.

You did not say if it was found or bought. So I am guessing bought. It seems to be from the meteor Crater in AZ. It is worth about $20.

I just watched meteorite men on Discovery Science channel yesterday. You can send or take it to Arizona
state university. They have a large meteorite study going on. They may even pay you well for your
specimen if you can provide them with the long/lat of where you found it, maybe don't even need it
not sure. I am interested in doing some meteorite hunting myself. Nice find. I hope it all pans out for
you.

Trust me, I KNOW it is a meteorite. I have many years of experience looking at lots of these, just don't have any idea of values. I actually found this on a So Cal beach.
It is very heavy for its size. I have a hard time believingit is only worth $20 considering the prices I have seen for meteorites these days at some of the shows I have attended.
Probably one of those things that someone needs to look at in person to make any real determination of value.
