Hey folks I found this last year, I cut a piece out of it and left it underneath my step. and I remembered how it took 3 grinder disks to get threw it so I took another look at it. I think it looks quite weird, it's not rusting the way it should. Any idea? I live right off the east coast so things rust here much faster then other places. I have no idea what it could be, man made? Looks like a chunk of what appears to be metal but does not rust.

Here's a pic of a meteorite that looks similar to your piece. I don't know much about meteorites, but I guess it's a possibility. I used to do a lot of gold prospecting here in California, and I would get TONS of "hot rocks" that looked similar to your piece also. Hot rocks are just highly mineralized rocks that will make a metal detector sound off. So that's a possibility also. Good luck finding out ;) HH.
