Found this brass/bronze object on old ranch property.

This was found on the ground at an old ranch in Southern Oregon. I would love to know what it is.

Ok, not that it matters but this is what I think; the decoration looks too crude to be a lamp part and it looks hand made, with that said, I haven’t a clue what it is (;

Lacking any dimensions I inserted the photo into Microsoft Powerpoint and used the grid lines to measure it. The round spiral alone is 2" wide by 3" tall. The hollow stem is 5/8" OD, so that's about right for 1/2" ID. Having not been threaded perhaps is used solder or an interference fit to hold it in place. ID would awfully small for the head of a staff. Remembering the shape of harness haimes, I can't think what they would fasten to and I think would bounce off.

I'm going with curtain rod tip. The eye could be used to hang a tassel from.
