Found this. Box I think

I went to detecting after work today and found this thing at about 4 inches deep. It was covered in dirt but you could tell it was a square box but it only about an inch thick. Its about 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". You can see in the first picture that there is a place where the top of it comes off.(Maybe) If anyone knows what it is please let me know. You can see at the top left of the box where it looks like it opens. Thanks Maverick29(Chris)

I have this lockset that I think is same thing you have. If it is same one, right below round mark, the one on top left, witch is a square hole for doorknob shaft, it reads "russwin". The center round round mark is a flathead screw that holds the two halves together.
