OK, so it's not a treasure as such as a ancient boat discovered or valuables with it. I found a 10', V-bottom, fiberglass rowboat last Sept. while goose hunting on an inland pond. The subject came up a few days ago while talking to my 18yr old son. Being the scrounger that he is, I told him where the boat was and he went looking for it with some friends. It was still where I found it, with just the tip of the bow sticking out of the water. They flipped it out of the muck, bailed it out and floated it home. No numbers on it or ID. Does anyone know the regulations on finding and salvaging a sunken boat? He's not sure if he'll keep it or sell it. Probably not worth a whole lot, but treasure is treasure.

I found one too!

No numbers on it so it would really be impossible to trace.
I would say finders keepers if its been there that long.

Most states you would have to go thru DNR to get permission to recover an abandoned vessel. But usually its one that can be traced back to the owner and the owner. Not so in this case.
