Found Squiggy's tag, another wheatie plus an old car and more!

I went to my wife's grandmother's house tonight to do a little huntin'. During the hunt, I found a few Lincoln memorials, a 1925 wheatie, a .38 S&W casing (I believe its a 38), a pet tag for Squiggy (somebody would really name their pet that??), a clad quarter, a nut, and a very old kid's metal toy car. I actually found another one close to it, but my 3 year old girl decided she wanted to play with it.....and lost it. LOL
I guess it shouldn't be that hard to find next time!

I could read 'USA' under the toy car but that's about all I could get out of it.

Does anybody ever get "the look" or the sigh from the wife or hubby when you want to take your metal detector everywhere with you for that chance of getting to do some coil swinging???

...I doubt I'm the only one!

Anyways...thanks for looking guys and Happy Hunting!!

Yea I get same treatment from wife lol. I just need to find her a nice ring sometime. I've found silver rings but nothing she would wear.

I actually remember playing with toy cars like that. That would be around the mid to late 60's.

I also remember taking the wheels off and the axles would usually bend when you put them back on so you may not want to pull those wheels and axles off. They're easy to straighten but putting them back inevitably bends them again.

I found a dog tag the other day and the dogs name was "Burrito" ... Really? Haha

The toy car was made by "Tootsietoy" Made in U.S.A.

I found that same Tootise, I feel your pain. Nice finds.

Last week I dug from 15 inches deep, a 4 inch long " Tootsietoy" 1953 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster of which only 300 real cars were made. Here is a picture of "NGE's Lemon Lot" most all cars and trucks are Tootsietoy, I have over 100 Tootsietoy items .........NGE

Wow! That is an awesome dig! Have you checked to see the value of it yet? I used to collect hard to find Hot Wheels and was amazed at what some people would pay for them. I only spent $1 per car and would sell them sometimes for a couple hundred bucks.
Nice collection!

Really like that toy car, reminds me of childhood =D

Nice finds!

NA! They don't just give me "the look" anymore...they just out right laugh, until they figured out that if the detector doesn't go "I" don't go...there for "no one is going". Problem solved!
It's kinda nice to actually have them ask if my detector is loaded in the truck now!

If momma isn't happy....nooooo one is happy! Hey it's my pursuit of happiness!

if I don't put it in the vehicle, I get the "Are You Alright?" but now she is wanting to take hers along.

Yeah, I think I'm getting to that point! LOL
Now that I have two, maybe my wife will get out there with me.

I love old cars when I find them I have found approx 20.

may not be a pet tag
we have a member in cali named squiggy- you should send it to her

Maybe like Lenny and squigy from Laverne and Shirley !

I'm with Jeff..you need to send it to me..lol!

Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

I would contact the dog's original owner to see if she would like to have it, my dogs and all of my past dogs are members of my family and if someone found one of my dog's tags from one of my long ago pets I would love to have it back as a memento!!

Love the car!
