Found something a little different made of clay

I think I found a piece of a clay pipe along with other small pottery today :icon_scratch:

Took a bunch of pics from different angles to see what you guys think.

I see the soot marks on the inside but it may be too big for a pipe. I am hoping Indian experts can help out.
 

Great Finds! I think the tube shaped piece is a little big for a pipe but It could be. It would have been a huge pipe if it was.

Might have been a bottle top but the first thing crossed my mind was pipe. Here is a link about a 2 1/2" clay pipe found in a neighboring county The Carolina Piedmont during the Woodland Period. I measured the diameter on the piece I found and if not broke would have been and inch and a half from one edge to the other and 1 inch diameter on the inside so it's not as big as it looks in the pic.

It is common for what is called a cloud blower pipe to be that large and I think that is what you have found. Great find:thumbsup:
