Found Someones coin, now what do i get?

so i got a new box of dimes, and in the first roll i find a markered dime, it has a number 4 and the color is blue. I figured since a few are trying to see how far they get or if someone will find them i would let them know. Any ideas where it came from? If you marked it could you leave me a message letting me know where and when you sent it out.. thanx i hope to find more and better in this box.. until then ill be awaiting someones responce

Several MD clubs use painted and/or numbered dimes, nickels and pennies as tokens for prizes in their competition hunts. It's apparent that some of them leaked into circulation in your area.

I wish you luck on your coin roll hunting. I agree that those are probably prizes in an MD club.

Yep I have to agree with everyone on here, that the coins you found with numbers on them are probably from Detecting Hunts. They are usualy planted in a field and if you find one at the detecting hunt, you recieve a prize.

Next time your club, if you belong to a club, has a planted hunt, they could use these coins.
