It's been a long dry spell but I finally found another ring at the local tot lot this afternoon. It was in the sand around the slide. Also found some clad and a Hot Wheels '69 Chevy pickup truck and part of a key chaoin. A couple of days ago I found this little butterfly shaped lock/watch in the grass bout 4" deep. It is plated and most of the plating has worn off. The little clock face is in good condition but apears to be full of water. The lock on the back is not real. This little ring looks like silver but I think it is silver plated. The only writing on it inside the band is a 6 or a 9 depending on how your are looking at it. There is no .925 stamp that I can find and I think it's probably copper plated as it is not magnetic. Around the outside is the name Will Rogers.

Forgot the pictures first time! Monty

I've been at this game just over two years and my biggest thrill so far is finding rings. I always find one when I am least expecting it. I don't ever remember thinking a target was a ring before I dug it up. I do remember a lot of targets that gave a signal like a ring but wasn't! I have probably a dozen or so rings so far but only 3 gold ones, a classring and two wedding bands. I have found several more of the silver variety, all kinds. My favorite is a little filligree looking ring with just a plain onyx stone I found at an old school. It looks quite old and you don't see the pattern like it anymore. So, here's my "baby". Monty

I like that one too Monty. I also think the lock watch is cool too, and the 9mm round, lol. We find bullets everywhere dont we. In retrospect, I alway say that target sounded like gold.

Sooooo there's some " tot " running around packing a "9". You'd better hope he's not the one who lost that HotWheel truck. He'd be looking to "rock and roll with some 'jacker". LMAO!!!!!! ;D

Beautiful looking old ring Monty. Any idea of the age? 1930 or 40's possibly?
Very nice find,
MM
