I don't think it is a fossil probably how a fossil starts though.What I mean by that is I think the whole animal is in the shell and it was beginning to calcify.

Looks like a worn whale ear bone.

Here are some better photos.... I feel like it looks like an ammonite fossil? I have some whale bone ears and it doesn’t look like those in person.

Maybe a worn down thornback stingray dermal denticule or scute root?... Looks likefossil fishbone to me.
