If the coin is not oily, all you have to do is place a few drops of heavy cream and let it sit, just a thin layer without letting it over flow off the coin. The cream will separate from the high points!
Look up 1875 or so british half cent, then compare where top of head is, compare nose and jaw, and compare eyebrow and the all seem to match. The relief of the stars on the American one would most likely still show as well and I see nothing relating to it
Let us know if you figure it out this one's such a close call. Can you make out any stars to confirm american? Or evidence of a pronounced rim? The nose just doesn't sit right for american in my mind
The only thing I see is a lady's face, I been looking at this for hours through magnifying glass and the naked eye getting tired but its bothering my mind ,, I looked at numerous coins online and just can agree on which one , the forehead has a distinct look that's throwing me off plus lack of quality but I keep searching .
