I was out on the City Municipal Park doing my hunting. I had dugged up already a bunch of trash and $0.45 in clad and some misc. items. As I was almost done with the area I was mding, I got a real strong signal, as I checked the Pad on my machine it showed in the nickel range what appeared to be two targets one showed at 6" and the other at 4". The strongest one showed in big length. I figured it would be some old can or something of that nature but went ahead and dugged at them anyway. The first one out at 4" was this old ring which only showed the stone while the rest inside a piece of hard dried up dirt. I got excited and smashed it to get it loose and BOOM!!! A cheap old ring.... 
. I looked in the hole and saw this green colored piece of metal which was hard to pull out so I ended up digging a wider hole and check this out, the old 1ST Street of our town. Used to be !st Street and was changed back in the early 80's to First Street along with the rest of the numerical Streets. The way I figured out this ended here at the Municpal Park is that someway, somehow, somebody brought it here from the City Yard which is approx. 200 yards or so from the entrance to the park which was established a couple of years after the change of the streets. Anyway this was the most exciting part of my day.
