✅ SOLVED Found near Indian wars fort, Montana-what is it?

Hello all......needing help identifying this item....unfortunately, it came out of ground in pieces.....it is approx 4" x 3" and flat......it looks vaguely familiar, but I cannot make the connection. Scalloped edges, top clip, and lower 'rocker clip ' on broken segment ( I call it a rocker clip because it is exactly of same construction as ww2 German SS cameo cover clips. Early 45-70 cartridge cases, bullets, coin were found in same area. I would really appreciate some help
