got permission to hunt around the house site that stood by a colonial ferry crossing, pop out this nice 1675 Charles II 4 Pence, too bad its been holed though, still love it...... not took much of a story behind the find, had been hunting the beach for awhile and coming up with nothing, when my friend and i saw the landowner and asked for permission to hunt around the house since the people who were renting it had just moved out, he said it was fine so we went to it. was in the front yard of the house and had only found a couple brass pieces and a lot of melted lead when i get a good tone, and out came this beauty 664394_4536628548078_1156717749_o.jpgIMG_20121112_183042_264-1.jpg

Holes or not that thing is SICK!!! Any 1600's coin wood be SWEET.. CONGRATS . HH

That is Rad, Very cool 1600's, Awesome!!!

Very nice EARLY piece of history. Imagine the story that coin can tell. The person who dropped it 300 years ago, and all the critters it has met from sitting in the ground for 3 centuries being walked over without anyone knowing the lonely thing was there!

I am sick with envy, way to go!

great find to say the least ...very nice

That thing could have 3 holes in it and I would not matter one bit. Sweet coin, congrats!

According to this site, your coin is sick, sweet, awesome, kickass, amazing, and rad! Great find! :laughing7:

Really nice find. Always interesting on how the hole is always offset a little rather then right above the head?

Wow, congratulations man! You now own something that is older than the Declaration of Independence. Colonial states definitely have the older finds, keep canvassing that site!

Great find.:icon_thumleft:
