I realize that this find is nothing compared to say, Comfyinvermont, but it sure made me happy! I found a 1937 wheatie!!!! I also found a 1952 wheat, and a 1959 memorial. WHOOO HOOOO!! I also found some odds and ends of scrap metal and a couple of nails, but only one pull tab! There are 3 empty lots down the road from me where they have moved the houses to someplace else. They are going to start widening the road, probably sometime next year and are getting ready to move out some other houses. Anyway, since they moved the houses rather than tear them down, the lots are pretty clean of demolition trash which is nice for me.

Good job Vicki...congrats......agreed , Lances finds are enough to make one want to move to the east coast and maybe take up stalking.LOL ....sounds like youve got some good sites lined up....good luck....JO

Congratulations Vicki,
I lived in Orlando for 14 years prior to moving to Tampa.
When I see your posts I keep trying to think of places for you to try.
What part of town do you line in North, East, West or South?
There's some old areas in Apopka, how about Lake Fairview or around Lake Ivanhoe?
Just some thoughts

Good Luck and HH

Nice Finds Vicky.
With wheats that old remember the silver is their too. HH

Thanks for the encouragement guys!

Baddog - I live on the east side between Union Park and Bithlo (near UCF).

Sherman - Your avatar shows Rota, Spain? I live there for a couple of years when my dad was stationed there! Loved it! I cried for days when we left.

NE Hunter - Oh! The pressure!

Floater - That's exactly what I thought when I pulled these out. I'll be going back for sure!

I bet you will find an even older one in there once the move some earth.

Vic,

I change my profile several times each month. The place names all played a part in some part of my life. Rota was a military connection.

A 1937 wheatie is not a bad find at all. There's more there for sure. Keep up the good work.

Good finds, you know a good friend of mine always said if you find wheats in a yard then it will have at least 2 silver coins in it. He passed away at 56 and taught me alot. And I think he was right. Keep hunting and I bet you can find silver in those same places ! Good luck.

Vicki,
Every time I hear Bithlo I think of the joke "What's the nightmare before Christmas?" Bithlo (sorry folks you have to know Orlando to get that one).
You know you could jump on 417 and head up to Sanford there is some history there.
Last week I was in Omaha and talking with nedigger he used to live in Winter Springs and found quite a bit of stuff around there.
Off 17-92 there is Big Tree park (Longwood I think) that is pretty old.

Good Luck and HH

When I was in the USAF Spain was the choice assignment. I was supposed to go there but at the last minute they sent me to Libya! I nearly cried too! JIM aka KS
