very nice finds! awesome walker

nice finds! I would say it is a 1918. Its in pretty good shape, if it was a 28 in that good of shape the date would be strong. on the early SLQ's the dates were the highest point and some wore off while still in circulation. The design was changed on the later ones. Awesome digs!!!

Nice finds, were`d you get that extra large pouch to carry all that around with you?

Bill

Thats a great yard and likely more there.

Great hunt!
Your 1879 is a semi key date and looks to be in
pretty good shape. if the Barber is an "S" mint,
it is a key date. Let us know.

Awesome finds! congrats on some sweet silver   keep it up. best of luck and HH

An SLQ, Barber, and Injuns...can't beat that!! Great hunt, and great finds. Congrats!

Ray

The Indian is decent and the Barber is an "o" mint, close though!

That is a really nice 1918 quarter.

I might have found some information on your George Teall:

http://files.usgwarchives.org/wi/racine/cemetery/mcsec10a.txt

This is the listing contained in the link, and it lists these birth and death dates for a George Teall of Racine, Wisconsin:

TEALL, J. George 15 June 1845 3 Jan. 1933 Co. A. 22nd Reg't. Wis. Inf.

Thanks,Plehbah
I did see a couple listing's for, "Geo.Teall" . Wonder what that thing was though?

Nice finds!!
I wonder if that could have been a slide tightener from a piece of tack from a horse? I have never seen one with a name like that, but it could have been? I've seen something similar, one end would have been permanantly sewn on, the other end just slipped thru the open end and then slipped thru the sewn on end to tighten a leather strap... ??
Just a thought, I would think it might be because of the size of the buckle opening.

Lots of nice finds there!
Finding a SLQ with any legible date on it's a big deal to me.
Mike
