Found my first "Gold Ring" today.........

It was at my old high school-- about 4 inches down..... It registered 14 on my DFX with the coin program... The ring is a 1969 10K white gold class ring. Also found 99 cents in change before the rain really started falling hard. The ring was a thrill as I had only found a silver ring and a bronze? ring before. I know that this is small potatoes compared to the mega-star detectors on this board, but I'm smiling anyway....LOL

I too am still lookin for my 1st gold ring....

Thanks Rudt, Ima, Prober,Michiganne,Texan, I think luck had a lot to do with finding this rimg, but I feel like I broke thru a small barrier, and have gained some confidence to find some more... It may take a lot longer than it did do find the first, but that is the beauty of this hobby, you never know what you will find out there while you are moving your detector....lol

I Wish I Would Feel That First Gold Rush Also!!!
Still Looking Around To Find It. It'll will be a big thrill for you, I will bet. When reading the posts of others that have found rings and other treasures, it give one a little more determination to dig those tab numbers. Gregg even has me digging more pennies after his story of finding a gold ring after removing two pennies first, before he got the 14 VDI on his DFX

Also pennies have ended up being large coin spills fro me too! I will continue digging the pennies. Often the pennies are hiding some nice things just below. I always have the attitude well I will be back so if I don't dig that penny now I will have to get it out of the way next time...that has paid off nicely! Found a nice silver ring today will post later! 8)
