On Tuesday, Thailand celebrated the return of two priceless artifacts. Two 1000-year-old bronze statues, that had been looted 50 years ago, were returned to Thailand. One of the statues is known as the "Standing Shiva" or the "Golden Boy". It is believed to be a statue of the Hindu god, Shiva. The statue was unearthed in 1974, and the person who claims to have found it says she sold it to a foreigner for $33,000. The Shiva statue eventually made its way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York city, where it has been for the past few decades. But now, the MET decided to give the statue back.
