FOUND INDIAN HEAD IN SCHOOL GRAVEL

HEY FELLOW DIGGERS . I GOT A CHANCE TO GET OUT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR TODAY BETWEEN THE RAINDROPS. I WAS IN A SCHOOL PLAYGROUND AREA WITH ABOUT 4-5 INCHES OF THE GRAVEL STUFF WHEN I FOUND THIS INDIAN HEAD 1902 (UNDER THE NICKEL PICTURE) AND I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT WAS IN NEW GRAVEL. I NEVER EXPECTED IT. ALSO DUG $5.30 IN CLAD, BUNCH OF ZIPPERS AGAIN!!!!, A SMALL METAL DRADLE, A COUPLE OF BUTTONS, ONE COOL ROMAN GUY, AND SOME WATZITS. 2ND PICTURE IS JUST SOME STUFF I DUG A WHILE BACK IN THE WOODS NEAR MY MOMS HOUSE. THE LITTLE PLATE IS THE STATE CAPITAL BUILDING IN MASSACHUSETTS WHICH FEELS LIKE PEWTER OR LEAD. DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THESE PLATES. THANKS FOR LOOKIN AND KEEP ON DIGGIN, THE ROOSTER

How's it going roosre. Not sure about the plate thing, but the roman guy looks old. As for the IH, mabee a kid brought it to school to show his friends and lost it. Nice Finds! Matt

Great finds! I don't think that IH was a recent drop. It looks like it's been in the ground a looong time, with all that green corrosion. I agree on the Roman thingy. Is it a coin or a button? I like the plate too, hopefully it's old and worth something! Excellent stuff, keep it coming! HH!

Thanks for posting the pictures. Neat stuff. That roman disc does look old.

If I were you I'd go back to mom's house. That stuff is interesting...and maybe there's old coins. Did you find any there?

I was also digging in the gravel at a school? yesterday I didn't do as well as you, but did find some zippers....I don't know how those kids keep their clothes on as many zippers as they loose....
