Yes, notice its decorated where it would be seen even when it had something hang from it.

wow !! Thanks guys.I would never had figured that one out.I;ve never knowingly seen a picture hook like this in my travels.Definately a strange thing to find in ww1 encampment that was all bell tents.God Bless and HH Panz

It naturally looks like a picture hook,
but there has been at least one similar find here on TNet before.

And, it was probably confirmed as such, by at least one of you.
