Found in my front Yard(Handle or latch or ??????)

I got out for a little while today and found a little clad 1 1947 wheat and this item it look like a handle or latch but I'm not sure for what?? I put my 1882 silver dollar next to it for a size ref!!!!


OOPS It looked bent to me so i Tried to straighten it and it broke where the bend is Hop it wasn't valuable LOL Whitish color where it broke LEAD??


Sorry the 4the pic is a scan of the telegraph base i found, the batteries in the camera are dead the handle thing is 2 inches to long and way to heavy

Looks like some part of an old car. Like a piece near the motor, but old!

Part of a telegraph? The little handle that the telegrapher tapped out the messages with, maybe?

I found part of a telegraph the base about 2 blocks away and tried to match it up it was way to large also it has a hole in the part of the arm just below the Knob also there is a small hole in the opposite side that looks like a pin went into to it but no rocker point!!!!

Sorry the batteries are dead in camera to get better pic of areas i wrote about!!!

I thought about that but I think its some kind of locking handle latch with two handles. Maybe from the back of a truck, enclosed trailer or freezer.

I think its cast brass by the white color and not bent.
