One reason I dont post on certain forums is the use of the p word to discredit real hunters. Some folks actually find things, some folks use the P word. Now you have brought that into the discussion, all real sharing of information has just stopped. You killed your own thread before it start?

I believe everyone has a right to say what they want and belive what they want in this country .

Man, that is a really detailed profile. It's easy to see the face details such as the nose, mouth, eyes, and that pointed beard. Then, that crazy headpiece and the high backed collar leaves no doubt that this is NOT a "p" word situation. Man, you have to forget the "p" king's BS. I gave it back to him and so did others and he packed it in. You have to trust your own eyes and not some dude that was trying to lead in an area where he himself was only a student.

lol, I hear ya shortstack. to me, i belive it was made by man, and is a spainard. I was looking for others thoughts on it. and its ok with me if some say its mother nature, and iam seeing the p word. I just put the photos out for each to make there own call, without me getting upset on there thoughts. some don't even believe in stone signs leading to things. I say its real and it is looking at what some call a treasure yard. I also think it is very well done and grand in size. I also think its one of the earliest Spanish sites I have found. but, then again I have only done this for 2 years part time, so don't put much faith in what I say and show. iam just a newborn at this stuff. and haven't found any booty yet, but iam getting better and closer each time I go out. I say enjoy it, comment on it. but I wont argue with anyone on what they see. or with what I see. if others want to argue about things, thats fine too, its just not for me. thanks for your thoughts ss,i see the same thing.

quiona, as it gets later in the evening,it dose start looking like a devil to me. i think anyways. thanks.

Great call, Dog. I've long wondered at the patience and talent of the carvers who could create a shadow picture that morphs into ANOTHER picture. Super talents.

Doesn't the horse rider look like The guy who was the original portrait?? I wonder if these 2 shadow figures put together is meant to give the message that the trail to the King's mine / cache is one that is good for animals. After all, a horse is not as sure footed as a mule and needs a better trail than they.

There should be more info very near that would give distance and direction.

yes shortstack you are right, the trail to the treasure yard, can be very easily done by horse, you could even get a wagon up there too with ease. there are some double x's there, what looks like a shadow anchor standing up right to his left, theres another guy at the base to the right. plus many more signs iam sure. I just don't have that skill
to see the more camouflage stuff, i just haven't been able to develop that skill yet, if ever. i have only been able to see the ones that are right in your face type. I believe you are right, that the distance and direction is there. but I was able to find the yard by hiking in the direction he is facing. lam guessing its atleast 1000 yards to the left. when I get back there iam gonna try and use a range finder and shoot from the where I think the x spot is ,back to him. yes they sure are skilled at there craft of working the stones to make shadows and sun signs that change. there pro's for sure. which also tells me that I bet they can make one heck of hidden killer death trap,no dout in my mind. I have seen the amazing cuts they have made in solid stones, from deep and heavy.to shallow and light, like a brain surgeon. I belive this sight does contain the kings treasure.

I've read comments by Old Dog and others who know, that if shadows figures are used on a trail, then the other important info marks will also be given in shadow form. Along with this idea, I also have seen mention that the Spanish would "post" the same information (distance and direction values) in at least 2 or 3 different techniques at a trail monument. Especially if there is a change in direction at a particular point.

So, since you obviously have a double shadow mark, there should be distance and direction info in shadow, but ALSO carved.

that makes sense to me shortstack. I cheated, by looking in the direction he was looking and saw a nice outcrop of stones up the mountain, and took the shortest route to lt, and lucked out finding the treasure yard. it takes so much time to drive and hike to some of these places, alot of the time I just look at the tops of the mountains for a sign, then take the shortest route to where I think its leading too. and if its a treasure yard, ill work that first hiking and photographing it. then at the end ill take there trail and photograph it. all this taking months to do working at it part time. here's a photo of a stump pointing right in the treasure yard area of Cortez.View attachment 824558

Have you found any religious signs in the yard area yet? Like winged figures, bells, and scripture references? Supposedly, when the Spanish set up a yard, they'd also put up some religious monuments to celebrate their work and as a way to pray for safety to the Saints. I'm not clear on if that was for EVERY yard or just the one nearest the mine. The example I read was in Calvin Keys' book, Turtles Lead to Treasure, and he was using a yard NOT near the mine as his example. I suspect that on the site of the Kings cache, nothing was put there except some kind of marker showing who it belonged to and the indicators to "shoot" the site lines for the spot. They may or may not have erected a carving of a Saint, but an animal or two is probably there. They LOVED their turtles and bears. LOL

there's some crosses there shortstack, could be other religious stuff that I haven't seen,ducks,owls,the#7 with the slashed ends. some quartz's samples exposed down lower on the mountain, all kinds of stumps worked.i think maybe ancients mined there first, then the Spaniards came.View attachment 825071

Sounds like the King's mine site. Look for covered drift holes that followed the vein and also vault storage site. Have you seen any rotten quartz or rose quartz?

Thanks for showing one of the better shadow signs n how they change. I know you were most likely dissapointed at the lack of comments....that is only because damn few people have witnessed such and most only believe what they think they have seen for theirselves.
I would bet the "farm" you have recieved at least three to five invites to another web site r special club n if u dont join, their responses to your posts will gradually disappear?
and the ones who post under different names, etc...well, you will eventually draw your own conclusions.
I chose to only post on this site, not to go elsewhere, and enjoyed the ride. You will most likely get your reward at the end of the trail!

Someday I would like to follow the trail from your area to mine. Unlike some trails, it was not
followed by the modern roads. Here is what your senior Cortez left for you to find!
