not sure what this is made of , don't think its iron cause it didn't have dingle berries of rust on it that one area where it seems to have sort of a tab has the number 34 or 84 ...any idea Thanks Jim

Not knowing the size I would say part of a reins guide. I was going to say eye for a candle stick holder but they are usually round ? Tony
