I found this freaky token while detecting near a swimming hole. I know what the letters stand for but I want to know what the token was used for? It is unfortunate that such an organization exists.

'We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.' Martin Luther King, Jr

I hope this posting does not offend anybody. I would just like to find out what I found. :icon_pirat:

Normally any type of token or coin of that type should be treated as a fantasy item. I know a good bit about the history of the Klan and to my knowledge nothing like that was made or would it be endorsed. The Klan , how would I put it. "Strives to be obscure and shied away from general public attention." It was only when they wanted to make their presence known that they would show up in mass.
Coins or tokens were not their thing. And as folklore dictates the white sheet, they would often just appear as a group in normal dress.

It was late one night. Bubba and a friend had been drinking. After leaving the bar that night they came across a poor unsuspecting guy walking home after a hard days work. Paths cross and the unfortunate teachings of days past prevail. Leading to the banks of a local swimming hole. One final struggle before being thrown into the water. A meddallion is torn from bubbas neck and lost in the sand. Evidence of a terrible crime to be found years later. Solving an unsolved mystery. Castle Theory! :dontknow:

Or it was in someones pocket or around their neck while swimming and it fell off or out of pocket into the dirt.

I doubt it, it was on an old token. token dates around the 70's. The guy who bought it from me said he had seen them at flea markets for $18-$25 and asked how much I would sell it for. Not knowing anything about it's value I just said $20. He did not want to spend more than $10 but I said $15 was my final offer. He took the deal. Who knows why he wanted it? I got it for nothing and made $15 on it. I am happy and he is happy. Good luck selling your Disney/Busch Garden stamped coin! :tard:

I found one of those coins in my driveway that says #7 kkk nc. It looks like it was stamped on a canadian penny.

Nothing is photo shopped. The letters are struck into the token. Thanks for doubting me ???

Actually, not all KKK activity was unfortunate. We have historic records in my county
which states ( over 100 yrs ago ) that the KKK was also providing good deeds for the common
folk in some ways. One way, as was recorded here back then, was that if a man with a
family was a drunkard and/or would not work and support his family, the Klan would
be apt to visit said sorry individual in a time least expected, and remove him from his
home to be whipped into repentence for his sorry ways. And NOT just black folks,
but sorry or lazy white folks too. This story I had read WAS a white man getting his just due.
This ended in a beneficial way
for the family, for sure, and kept many men from abusing their duty as head of their household.
Other stories tell of the KKK ( in this area at least ) collecting funds, food, and clothing for the poor.
