Found this at an old school from the 1930s. They were found really close to each other. They are identical except for one thing- on one the middle raised on the other the other concaved (I guess that's a good word for it). It's pressed in lol. I put them together and they match perfectly. The back I BELIEVE NOT POSITIVE, is wood but I may be wrong. What are these??

My guess would be inserts for fingers in a old wooden sliding door. Although they do look a little small for that. Perhaps a cabinet door?

I believe they were finger pulls that would be on a window to raise and lower it.
