They where calling for a few inches of snow here yesterday which we didn't get thank God, so yesterday evening I went back to the place where I found the 1/2 reale and tap spout for a few hours, and darn if I didn't find the key to the joker,it seems to be a perfect match, now all I need to do is find that piece that goes to the back of the spout and my project will be about complete. Also found a 1899 IH,a overall button, and another one of those I think saddle ornaments? This one still has a little silver left on it,and just a few odds.Sorry about all the pics,I took the camera with me this time and went a little camera crazy, lol. 028.JPG033.JPG035.JPG003.JPG008.JPG010.JPG017.JPG011.JPG024.JPG027.JPGThis is a old out building at the site that hardly still stands. The earliest I could find out about this place is that it dates back to around the 1780's,not quite sure how old the out building might be but it is old, They sure built stuff to last back then.006.JPG007.JPG

Thanks trapper. It would be nice to find that other piece to the tap,but it might be a long shot. Gives me something else to shoot for anyway I guess.

Nice hunt! Love all the pictures. Looks like my kind of place. You should be able to hunt that for a long time with success.[emoji106]

More cool finds from a cool site.

Nice hunt DI2. The saddle ornament kinda looks like a reign end but is a little larger than what I have seen. Does it have a tab on the back? Keep going back there until you come home empty handed. WTG, Q.

Are you using a pick to dig? Ground looks nice and black, so I bet it is easy stuff. I had no doubts you would find your other tap part.

Very nice! I'd love to detect a site like that.

Thanks, it is a neat place, very fortunate to be able to hunt it.it has been hunted allot in the past or I would probably be finding more then what I am. just picking up what other people have missed with those older model machines I guess.Sometimes I can walk around there and not find much at all except trash. You should see all the bag of trash I have filled up from this place

Yeah the pick is my tool of choice,Pretty easy digging there until I get up around the tree roots and all. Thanks, it would be nice to find It.

Awesome job. Love looking at pics of old house sites.
that is just a big out building at the place.I would absolutely love to get inside and hunt its dirt floor but it is pretty much caved in.

Here they are Q, just found them in the book, must have over looked them twice. You hit the nail on the head man.Thanks!041.JPG042.JPG

Awesome hunt DigIron2. Great seeing more of that barrel spigot turn up. Those things are so cool. I also learned what those harness strap pieces were too... Really cool.

Congrats on finding that spout piece.
One more piece, and it all comes together.
I'm sure that missing piece is still there
Congrats on a nice hunt.

Thanks OutdoorAdv,i thought there had to be some more of it laying around there somewhere. It was kind of funny,I found this piece probably about 50/75 yards from the other one, almost like someone pitched it?Was kind of surprised to see it was a match after I got home.

Thanks. The missing link would be nice to find. Not very often I can find stuff that I can actually put back together like that,it is kind of fun lol.I should be out there right now shooting for it but had some stuff to do around this boring old house today.
