Thank you coinstalker, it came with a head strap.

Very cool Steve and a super nice video. Now that you've said that the cam was strapped to your head, what kind of cam do you use? Just a basic helmet cam?

I've been wanting to get one but don't really know what would work well for me. Does the rim of your ball cap get in the way of the cam?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,
In the past I used a digital camera (Panasonic DMC-ZR1) attatched to the bill of my ball cap and it worked fine but here was the drawback. Over a short few years I've gone through 3 digital camera's and that's very expensive! What was happening, the environment I was shooting which usually was out in a wind blown plowed field, dirt was getting inside the lense track causing the lense not to retract and therefore it would jam! Not good! To alleviate this problem I am using a head cam called the HD HERO 960 made by GoPro.com it's completely water tight and the strap fits right on top of your head or reverse your ballcap and the bill will be out of the way for filming. I highly recommend it to those who want hands free filming while detecting. Take care!
