I was exploring the stream in the woods of my property. My hoping to find an arrowhead. No metal detector. My house is around 250 years old, and the woods used to be all farmland. Anyways, I eyeballed a pipe sticking out of the mud, and pulled out a rusted gun. The hammer was pretty bad and completely fell off. Anyways, How old is this gun and what is it probably? The barrel is too wide to be a .22.

Daisy lever action (Red Ryder).

Don't think that one will shoot your eye out.

I tried to clean it and take a closer look at it. It is made of two pieces and the barrel is pretty thin. Thanks for the ID Charlie! If there were kids here in the 1950s and 1960s, than I am sure there is silver around.
