From a German tin toy cash box labeled Kasse and Germany. ca 1940s.

Set contains at least coins 5, 10, 50 and 10 and 20 Kinder-geld notes.

The company moved to Waco, Texas in 1948 or 1949 and soon went bankrupt. They were taken over by Waco-Tex, which became Grove-Tex, the makers of UNCLE SAM PLAY MONEY... There are 2,000 to 5,000 of the play coin you found estimated to exist..."

I was hoping it was a trime but quickly saw that it wasn't. but, still finding some very cool stuff, both very small and deeper finds with the HF coil at 28kz

Yeah, would have thought trime too but it would have come out of the ground less corroded. Nice find in any event.

yeah the corrosion was the first clue but in the wet mud, I could see the thin silverish edge and how small it was. we all have been there though, instant high hopes and then the realization of not so. but, it was still better than scrap.
