I decided to drive up to southeast Georgia today to look around at an 1820 to 1840 era fort today. I haven’t been there in many years but I just felt I needed a change. I was very happy to find that part of the fort area was being cleared. I found a lot of period glass and China on top of the ground. It’s been raining in our area almost everyday. I found this 54 caliber round ball and some modern trash. Just as I was getting ready to call it a day I found this early artillery coat button. I was super happy as I’ve only found a couple in the past and both were cuff sized. Anyway thanks for looking and happy hunting to all!
