Detector(s) used
Minelab eTrac ~ DetectorPro Pocket Uniprobe
I got out to detect for about an hour today after work before it got dark. I found five wheat cents from the 40's & 50's and a 1948-S nickel, about $3.00 in clad, and five or six pull tabs . . . . . but one of those pull tab signals was actually a 10K class ring!! 1965 ~ EAS Guatemala (What the heck is that)! Made by The Balfour Co. There's initials inside the band ~ hopefully I'll be able to reach the owner and return it someday! I showed the ring to my 14 year-old son and he noticed something that I missed ~ there's an image of Jesus or Mother Mary on the inside behind the "stone"!

WOW ~ thanks for all the info everyone! I haven't had much time to look into it yet, but I'm getting just about all the info I need from all you!

I'll keep everyone updated on what I find out!

OK ~ I'm having to snail mail letters to both the school and the ring's maker Balfour. I can't find an e-mail address for either one of them. Hopefully between the two letters I'll find someone that's gonna help me try to return this ring!

Great looking ring! I bet the owner would love to have it back...I've read a lot of stories about returning those old class rings ~ people are normally very grateful.

Congrats on the finds!
