Found a 1944 Merc double die??

Found this 1944 merc last week and posted it. Many of you say it may be a double stamp. I re-took some pics the best I could. It looks like it may be. But what's your thoughts. Thanks, Ron

It may be a double - I don't know but the condition of that coin is BEAUTIFUL!!

Madmacabre has it right. It's doubled, but it's fairly common. More of a curiosity than of value.

There are different kinds of double die. Most common i believe are called mechanical double die "Mechanical Doubling Damage". Its fairly common and doesnt fetch much of a premium. What you're looking for is hub doubling. Get it checked if you want but its most likely the MDD
