Found a 1944 Merc double die??

Found this 1944 merc last week and posted it. Many of you say it may be a double stamp. I re-took some pics the best I could. It looks like it may be. But what's your thoughts. Thanks, Ron

It may be a double - I don't know but the condition of that coin is BEAUTIFUL!!

Madmacabre has it right. It's doubled, but it's fairly common. More of a curiosity than of value.

i dont see anything in the cherrypickers guide for that year but if it was a new variety it would make it so much better. willy.
