thanks everyone. i recently got into metal detecting. been at it hard for about a month. loving the hunt! im living in the mother lode and looking for a metal detecting group, or partner to explore Stanislaus National Forest . I found a chinese coin the other day right next to this find.

You should check into any laws or restrictions concerning metal detecting in a US National Forest. Here is the policy and it is the same in all national forests.
