Fossil Found in creek. Need help identifying

Guys I found this interesting bone fossil in a creek bed... Any clue as to what it is?

Looks like a scull from a critter.

It's a section of an amonite.

HMMM... first thought I got was a turtle... looks like the bottom side of a turtle. the first 2 pics made me think that, almost thinking I could see where the legs used to be. Wish I could see that in person... my answer probably sounds stupid. LOL
