- Natural geologic fossil features will be impacted, for which an agreement was made to excavate material from the fossil area and pile it in an area accessible to the public, however neither the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Heritage Fossil Feature Area nor the future stockpile area have been identified on the plans.

I dread the day they do this, it will change from what now is a seemingly infinite amount of fossils to a limited amount that will be picked through quickly like the fossils at Swatara State Park.

If anyone knows of other places in Schuylkill County where they allow or don't care if people collect fossils, I would greatly appreciate if you could let me know. My 12 year old son loves fossil hunting.
