Well joking aside, its the peoples money, guarded heavily. Folks sometimes you have to be serious, we've had generations of fools believing the government, so shameful folks don't care and wonder why they pay outrageous taxes. Its time to audit and prove it. Ignoring the risk of this being a tongue-in-cheek thread, I legitimately think the whole subject is concerning.

No fears have been expressed, no hints that something dodgy is going on - just a curiosity and "What if..."

If there were fears, then the best way to go about it is to quietly find out before doing everything possible to lower the potentially catastrophic effects on the economy if they find a significant amount missing.

If they are living out every 6yo boy's dreams of becoming president merely to get in and see all the gold, then why the fanfare?

My fear is that this theatre has a purpose because after all the hype, they're not going to say "Well that's embarrassing, it turns out it's all above board and all the gold is there."

The UK has "Our Gold" and keeps refusing to give us an explanation.
