Hey all-
Did some beach hunting here in western washington yesterday with some buddies and one of my finds was a 7.25" fork with makers mark of "C.P." on the back. Buildings ranged from 1871-1879. Can anyone help I.D. who made this and see if it matches the time frame of the buildings? Thanks!

Those two bumps near where the handle meets the piece with the tines are called "shoulders." These were in vogue during a certain timeframe. If you Google something like "silverware shoulders" you might be able to get some links. My guess on this piece is 1880 - 1920, leaning closer to the latter.
