Forgotten WWII Lightning found off the coast of Wales

Great story. There must be hundreds of these WWII planes scattered through out the world. Both US and other countries. I recall seeing the remains of a Japanese Zero on the side of the mountains in Hawaii. The plane was shot down and crashed into the side of the mountain and disintergated. Its pretty well scattered but the pieces gleam in the sun. Not much there to recover. Thanks for posting.

realy great story! Nice photo...bomber under water and so closest to the beach... this place is uninhabited?

No supposedly there are people that live there and go to the beach there. they just never knew it was there until the sand eroded away to uncover it.

Thanks for posting this. There aren't many of these beautiful aircraft left. I was disappointed that they could only retrieve and restore 1 of the "Glacier Girl" flight, but one is better than none.
And now there's one more.
