My buddy dug this today at one of our go to farm fields, it’s about the size of a dime and I can make out the letters “UVENIA” and “CENT”.. I think🤔. Any help identifying is greatly appreciated! 1876 Centennial exposition souvenir. Probably once hung from a chain or ribbon

Thanks jewelerguy! I’ve never seen one before and I can’t seem to find one online like it. Is this something rare?

In my opinion, it's not really a 'rare' item although I wouldn't have a clue as to how many were made. There were hundreds of different souvenirs in many forms (trinkets, watch fobs, dangle pins, ribbons, printed matter, etc.) that were given away or sold by many vendors and attendees. It's a really cool find, priceless to you the finder, but honestly worth practically nothing to a collector because of condition. Anyone who collects such things are looking for pristine condition examples that were tucked away in a drawer for the last 100+ years. Enjoy it for what it is.... a really cool find that's way and far better than a pull tab
