For Sale: Sovereign GT - like new - used once - SOLD

----------SOLD-----------

You won't find one nicer. I bought this GT NEW last month. As a long-time White's guy, I wanted to see what all the hype was about. But after 45 minutes I could tell this was going to be just too different and it wasn't for me. Only had it out of the house one time to try it out at the local park. As they say, my loss is your gain.

It's perfect. Looks and works like new. Very impressive build quality and design & simple operation. Ergonomics are great with the hipmount setup. I registered the warranty with Minelab August 2012, so there are 2 years and 11 months of the 3-year factory transferable warranty remaining.

Comes with hard-to-find Minelab Digisearch 180 meter that I bought separately "like new" (but no warranty that I am aware of since I bought the meter privately), hipmount/chestmount bag, and the three sovereign how-to books pictured, all bought new with the detector. Of course comes with all the standard stuff: charger, battery pack, manual, original box, everything that comes new in the box.

Everything here would cost at least $1,250 new. Here's a chance to get a nice all-Minelab package at a 30% discount! Priced to sell quickly at only $925 shipped via UPS or FedEx ground. Paypal or money order accepted. Thanks for looking.

I just heard back from the "buyer" Sir Gala Clad and he can't come up with the cash ....but he has a hotel stay to trade me! :icon_scratch:

So the sale is off, naturally, and the detector is back up FOR SALE.

he wasn't a charter when he was first offering the stay.
(and advertising a resort)
then he came back as a charter member, so i gave him the benefit of the doubt

Hey everybody, Sir Gala seems to be a decent fellow and is really trying to make this deal work. He's sent me several courteous pm's explaining his situation, and I believe he's doing the best he can. :icon_thumleft:

Sir Gala, I just got your $5 and it came through OK. So fire away with the remaining $920 and I will ship out the GT to you tomorrow at the address you gave me there in Hawaii.

Update: I just got the rest of the payment, so the detector is yours! It will be on the way to you tomorrow. Thanks, Clad. :)

Wayfarer: I sent remaining $920 for total of $925 for full payment for like new Sovereign GT, hip mounted, Minelab Digiview 180 meter, all items pictured.
It was so rough coming up with the funds tlhat I am considering changing my moniker from Sir Gala Clad to Rubber Band Man.
Sorry you are tied up with school/work - hopefully some day we will meet and have a blast detecting.

I definitely wanted and need that meter. An land mine was found at the beach and detonated near where I searcn a few years ago, so I like to know as best I can before I dig. Just thought of another great moniker " Ka Boom!" Just funning as this purchase was rather stressful.

Glad it worked out in the end for both of us Sir. Shipping to Hawaii ain't cheap, but don't worry I got it covered. As for the land mines, I'd suggest not relying on the meter and just avoiding digging any targets larger than, say, 2" across. On the bright side, you may be detecting some relatively unsearched ground! :laughing7:

Yup worked out great. You put a lot of research and effort into this , it is everything I need and dreamed of.
Research is funny as you can study it to death, make wise and informed decision(s), end up with something that is exceptional,.only it doesn't meet your needs.
Yeah shipping costs to Hawaii are expensive. The dealer which I usually buy from ships to me by Priority Mail USPS. don't forget to insure the parcel. As I have the use of another detector, priority mail is fast enough, which gets here surprisingly fast.
Thanks for covering the shipping costs . Hopefully, later I will be able to reimburse you the extra cost(s) of shipping from the mainland to Hawaii.
I have found a lot of worn clad coins which indicates that they have been there a long time, but no silver coins. I doubt there are many silver coins to be found. I don't know anyone who found gold rings except for articles by some very experience detectorists diving under life threatening conditions.
That's not for me, as I have experienced the damage that waves can do from surfing.
Till we meet again, hopefully soon
Sir Gala Clad

 Sorry I had my suspicions Sir Gala !
Good luck with your hunt ! the sovereign is awesome :headbang:
